Drinking Window: 2020 - 2023
The vineyards owned by the Pomfy family were confiscated by the state under communism, but since 2001 Martin Pomfy has been making his own wines from 10ha of vines around the town of Pezinok. This unusual white Cabernet Sauvignon is very distinctive and original, with nutty/herbaceous aromas plus hints of green pepper and gherkin. Initial creamy citrus attack is immediately followed by fresh green notes: green pepper, melon, herbs. Fresh and mineral. Characterful and individual.
