This old-vine Chenin Blanc from coastal South Africa would make a great alternative to Chardonnay. It's had a year's ageing in French oak, with extended lees contact and regular batonnage, giving it a rich, leesy weight. Full-bodied, with ripe tropical fruit flavours.
