Paul Cluver, Noble Late Harvest Riesling, Elgin, 2017

A lush botrytised Riesling that shows classical and characterful flavours of toffee apples, honey on white toast, yellow grapefruit marmalade and dried apricots. Plenty of sweetness, but importantly balanced by deliciously vibrant tangy acidity. This really is liquid gold!

Intense, mineral nose: apple, peppery ginger and candied orange peel. Carried along by brilliantly gleaming acidity. D
