Rustenberg, Straw Wine, Stellenbosch, South Africa, 2017

A lusciously rich wine with 222g/l of residual sugar made from Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Crouchen grapes which are left to dehydrate on straw mats to concentrate their sugars before pressing. This is full of dried apricot, tropical fruit and orange marmalade notes, lifted by zesty citrus acidity. One to enjoy with blue cheese.
