AA Badenhorst, Dassiekop Steen, Swartland, 2015

Just 2,000 bottles were made of this inaugural single-vineyard Chenin release from Swartland maestro Adi Badenhorst. Baked apple and chamomile flavours join quince, mandarine, savoury oyster shell and hay notes on a tight, focused, complex palate. Very textured with apple skin grippiness and gentle oak from time in foudres. Delicious!
