Pinotage, but not as you know it – Martin ‘Marras’ Lamprecht has thrown out the rule book in making this juicy unoaked red. Using 30% whole-bunch fruit, it shows lifted rosehip, cherry, cranberry and raspberry jelly on a light, sappy palate with fresh acidity and fine structure. With fine Cinsault, Grenache, Shiraz and Chenin too, Marras is a name to watch. Alc 12%
