Jolandie Fouché is part of South Africa's new wave of young winemakers and her inaugral Grenache Blanc is an indication of great things to come. From a single vineyard with granitic soils in Voor-Paardeberg, it feels very Mediterranean in style. Lovely freshness is allied with lees texture, florality, citrus, apple and herbal notes, plus a mineral undertow and bright acidity. The name is inspired by poet Clarissa Pinkola Estés, who wrote: 'Some days I am more wolf than woman, and I am still learning how to stop apologising for my wild'.
