Drinking Window: 2018 - 2024
Cooled by ocean breezes at 300m altitude, the Cabernet Franc grapes show real perfume and nuance of rich bramble and cassis. Aged for 16 months in barriques, it has dusty tannins and cigar-box complexity with more structure from firm acidity. Swartskaap means black sheep in Afrikaans, so named as it is the only varietal wine at this lone estate in Walker Bay's Sondagskloof subregion.
