Adi Badenhorst never disappoints. This single vineyard Chenin, from a plot planted in the 1970s on exposed granite, has robust precision and a filigreed complexity that make it a pleasure not just to drink but to truly enjoy as it unfolds in the glass. If a bit closed when poured it then reveals layers of apricot, lemon curd and melon, lined by razor sharp finish. The mid palate is broad and the long finish has a delicious touch of digestive biscuit. Yum.
