Leopard's Leap, Family Collection Cabernet Sauvignon, 2015

The majority of the grapes that make up this wine are from vineyards in Stellenbosch, aged for 18 months in a mixture of new and second fill oak barrels. It is aged for a further 12 months in bottle before release. The resulting wine has plum and vanilla aromas, with black fruit and a savoury, almost blueberry-like, character on the palate. There is a good level of acidity to balance the fruit, leading into a spicy finish with notes of milk chocolate, star anise and black pepper.
