Baron Amarillo, Red Blend, Cariñena, Aragón, Spain 2016

The Baron Amarilo range is a reliable go-to for Aldi's Spanish wine lovers, now joined by a new 2018 Monastrell and this Tempranillo-based blend. It's very youthful for its age, with a seam of fresh acidity cutting through the dense, sweet red fruit and more earthy darker brambles. A little rustic perhaps, but great value.
