Grown in northwest Spain, Mencia typically makes light- to medium-bodied reds with floral and red fruit flavours. This is a lovely example, vivid in colour, with scents of sour cherry and redcurrant fruit. Juicy, unoaked and pure, this is a good, honest, lively red.
