Beronia, Verdejo, Rueda, Castilla y Léon, Spain, 2018

A simple white wine to drink young, this 100% Verdejo is reliably fresh and fruity. Pale green in the glass, this is clean and juicy with stone-fruit, herb and almond notes. Rueda does this style so well, one can't help but wonder why they've just decided to allow Chardonnay and Viognier into the DO. Crisp, dry and delicate, this could be enjoyed as an aperitif, or with delicate fish or poultry dishes.
