Valdaya, Ribera del Duero, Castilla y Léon, Spain, 2014

(at Glazier's Hall, London, 15 Feb 2017)
The grapes for this wine come from four separate plots with vines over 50 years of age. It has fine, grippy tannins and plummy, spicy blackcurrant fruit. The intricacies of the oak are evident as sweet spice layered under black pepper and woody notes. It has a tight, long finish.
