This lively and refreshing white from Cava country is an eclectic mix of Macabeu, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Albariño and Chardonnay. The grapes are from 36-95 year old vines, grown on calcareous soils with some gravel. The wine ferments in lees for three months, mainly in stainless steel but 10% in French oak to round out the flavours. Wines that mix many different noble varieties like this can be hit-and-miss, but this is harmonious, quite punchy on the nose, with flavours of white peach and a clean, zippy lemony lift to it. Modest alcohol, perfect for summer.
