Raimat, Turons de Vallcorba, Costers del Segre, Spain, 2015

The first estate wine from established producer Raimat, made from organic Cabernet Sauvignon grapes planted on Vallcorba hill on limestone soil and aged for 20 months in French oak foudres. Attractively perfumed black fruit aromas: black cherry, ripe blackcurrant and blackberries. An elegant palate, with harmonious black and red berry fruit, fine tannins and subtle oak sitting in the background. Fewer than 7,000 bottles produced. An impressive debut.
