Finca La Emperatriz, Viura Cepas Viejas, Rioja, 2014

100% Viura from a single plot of 67+ year old bush vines in Rioja Alta. The wine is fermented in a mixture of new and old French oak barrels, before being matured for a further nine months in the same barrels and undergoing a daily batonnage. It has a woody, lemon posset nose and a creamy citrus-led palate with a zesty, mineral character. A beautiful and elegant wine that will pair very well with the richness of paella.
