This recognisable Rioja from Caceres, founded in 1970, has a mulchy leather and red fruit aroma, with some damp earth and cinnamon notes. In the mouth it's broad and rich, with flavours of black cherry and raspberry backed by hefty chocolate oak and astringent tannins. The palate is very dry, and the fruit isn't quite singing yet, however.
