Palacios Vinos de Finca, Proelio Viñedos Viejos, Rioja Alta 2019

The cold, continental climate of the Alto Najerilla Valley results in a lighter style of Garnacha. Grapes are sourced from very old vines grown in the villages of Cárdenas and Badarán, fermented with roughly 20% of stems and aged in foudres for 12 months so the fruit comes through beautifully. Still very young, but pure, crisp and really enjoyable.
