An elegant expression of Rioja that shows lifted, minty notes on the nose, with touches of underbrush and barnyard underneath the ripe red cherry fruit. The palate is pretty juicy and succulent, showing off sweet raspberry fruit. Fine tannins provide a taut structure, finishing dry and long. 21 months in American oak has given weight and structure to the wine, as well as hints of sweet vanilla and toast. A classy wine.
