Morrisons, The Best Marqués de los Rios Rioja Reserva, Rioja, Spain 2017

The 2017 Rioja Reserva is already showing developing complexity: savoury mushroom and forest floor notes seasoning blackberry fruits and coconut sweetness, thanks to three years of ageing in American oak. Savoury and juicy, it has a solid structure but not overly grippy. Black tea, dark cherry and blueberry juice, with sweet spices and dried black fruits on the warm, vinous finish.
