This is a good option if you're looking for a food wine with extra complexity and some tertiary elements. It has all the spicy red fruit you'd expect from a Rioja, along with some gamey farmyard notes. The palate is really bright and fresh, with a hint of balsamic and cherry coulis. Dusty, grainy tannins require some food to soften out.
