A blend of Merlot, Garnacha and Cabernet Sauvignon, this isn't as concentrated as you'd expect from a Priorat red, but then it's much cheaper than most Priorat reds that find their way on to the UK shelves. Crianza means it has spent a year in barrel, and the light, cedary oak is in balance with the soft sweet black cherry and fruits of the forest. A hint of violet, too.This would be my pick of the reds in the 12 Wines of Christmas promotion.
