Coppery pinky red in colour, this is certainly a darker rosé style. It is a little tight and closed on the nose, but the palate expands and relaxes into red berry fruit and a definite line of bitter savouriness. Light touches of jasmine and deeper notes of assam tea leaves come through. There's a roundness and creaminess in the mouth, and a chalky pithy sensation giving structure. Much more on the savoury side than the fruit side. Made from previously abandoned vineyards of the rare Molinara grape from southern Spain.
