Oküzgözü (meaning bull's eye) is a variety that Kayra's US-born winemaker Daniel O'Donnell descibes as Turkey's Barbaresco. The high acidity and earthy, red cherry fruit certainly bear comparison in this example made from low yielding eight year old vines. With 10 months in French barriques, it has fine tannins and good structure to last.
