Forty Hall Vineyard, Sparkling Brut, England, 2016

From an organic 4ha vineyard in north London run by volunteers as a social enterprise and made with minimal intervention by Davenport Vineyards in Sussex. From the three Champagne grapes, it's a traditional-method fizz with 12 months' lees ageing, that shows crisp orchard fruit, brisk lemony acidity and subtle yeasty hints.
