The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from the 809 clone (known as a more perfumed or 'musky' clone) planted in Gusbourne's Bottom Camp Vineyard in Appledore, Kent. Richly tropical on the nose with juicy peach, lemon curd and pineapple, plus a touch of whipped cream. Saline and spiced on the palate with a honeyed undertone. Grapefruit, apple peel, dried yellow peach with a buttery texture, refreshed by decent acidity. Increasingly warming and white pepper-spiced towards a long finish of melon, dried apricot and bitter lemon zest. A salivating food companion.
