Ridgeview, The Society's Exhibition English Blanc de Blancs 2018

Not to be confused with the non-vintage Exhibition English Sparkling Wine, this is 100% Chardonnay and made in the fantastic 2018 vintage. Made for The Society by Sussex-based estate Ridgeview, it spent four years on the lees before disgorgement (10.3g/L dosage). It's drinking beautifully, with vibrant but warm lemon curd and citrus notes, plus a gorgeous nuttiness and toastiness from the lees contact. Juicy, fresh and tangy, with cellaring potential, if you can resist drinking it now.
