Familia Deicas, Gran Bodegón, Canelones, Uruguay, 2015

An accomplished blend of 40% Tannat, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% each of Shiraz and Marselan. The 22 months in barrique give a rounded savoury black fruit character, with lovely freshness. Notes of balsamic, dried herbs, cranberry and spice are woven through nose and palate. Proof of the quality that can be found in Uruguay.
