Buyer Sarah Knowles did well to find this keenly priced, everyday-drinking California Chardonnay. Gold-tinted in the glass, it's ripe and buttercreamy on the nose, with fat peach fruit, caramel and sweet vanilla notes. But the location of the vineyards in the cooler wine-growing area of Monterey helps to keep it fresh and balanced. The estate works sustainably, and the winery is 100% powered by renewable wind energy.
