Rockhound, Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard, Santa Barbara County, California, USA 2021

Ripe aromas of black liquorice, black pepper and blackberry tart eschew the cooler Sta Rita Hills region and Radian Vineyard, stylistically coming together for an exuberantly ripe Pinot Noir at 15.3% abv. Baked plums, spiced blackberries and Christmas cake overcome a smoky minerality. There is a touch of heat from the high alcohol on the finish.
