Good Harbor Vineyards, Pinot Grigio, Leelanau Peninsula, Michigan, USA 2021

This is a surprisingly sophisticated Pinot Grigio from northern Michigan. Its aromatics are at first bright and fruit but quickly give way to a savoury character—apricot transitions to sorrel, cut grass and sea spray. The palate is rich and complex, with honeyed pear, ginger and almond notes. The finish is long, and the texture is complex and layered—a well-made American Pinot Grigio.
