Mazza Chautauqua Cellars, Riesling Nutt Road Vineyard, Finger Lakes, New York, USA 2020

From the shores of Seneca Lake, this precise Riesling shows great fruit aromatics, think cut pear, cardamom and nutmeg and a nice complement of white florals. There is a nice fleshy texture of grilled lemon and peach, while some of the secondary crushed slate's minerality character is starting to show itself. This wine isn't designed for ageing but should get more interesting over the next 5 to 6 years.
