From 1980 planted own-rooted Cabernet vines, the first production vineyard planted in the Walla Walla AVA, as a matter of fact, comes a wine of real complexity and depth. Great freshness and red fruits, complemented by savoury hints of eucalyptus and underlying gravelly mineral elements, lift the aromatics and offer a great sense of intricacy. Tangy blackberry flavours meld into spicy complements of white and red peppercorn, graphite streaks, and an elegant mix of mint and spice, showing brilliance on the finish.
