History:
According to historical accounts, Château Corbin Michotte used to be a feudal domain belonging to Edward of Woodstock (the Black Prince) during the 1300’s English occupation of France. Nowadays, it is owned by Anne and Jean Noel Boidron, the latter descended from a long line of winemakers. The vineyards, next door to those of Château Corbin in the extreme north-west of the commune, include an unusually (for Saint-Emilion) high proportion of Cabernet, and are managed on an organic basis: the soil has never been treated with chemical weedkilllers.
