History:
The vineyards of Château La Couspaude lie next to those of 1er Grand Cru Classé Trottevieille on the favoured limestone plateau north-east of the town’s outskirts. The property was acquired by Jean Prosper in 1908 and became part of Vignobles Aubert following the marriage of Proper’s descendant Edith Robin to Etienne Aubert in the mid 1900s. The Château lost its classed status in the 1985 classification of Saint-Emilion, but quickly and deservedly regained it in 1996.
